We aim to handle personal information responsibly and in a clear, transparent way.

1Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to students, parents or guardians, website visitors and other people who contact us or use our Services. The features currently available may focus on online tests, test series, scores, reports and performance tracking. If we introduce additional features, such as recorded classes or online courses, this policy will apply to those features once they are made available, subject to any additional notice we provide.

  • Device and technical information: app version, device type, operating system, crash/error logs, IP address and basic usage data needed to operate, secure and improve the Services.
  • Support communications: messages, feedback, complaints and information you choose to share with our support team.

3How we use information

  • Record test attempts and display marks, reports, solutions, progress and performance analytics.
  • Process payments, confirm purchases, handle refunds and provide customer support.
  • Send essential account, test schedule, transaction, security and service-related messages.
  • Maintain platform security, prevent fraud or misuse, troubleshoot errors and improve the Services.
  • Meet legal, accounting, tax and regulatory obligations, and respond to lawful requests.

4Legal basis and consent

Where required by applicable law, we will provide an appropriate notice and seek consent before collecting or using personal information for a particular purpose. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; this will not affect processing already lawfully carried out, and may limit our ability to provide certain Services. We will process information in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection and consumer-protection laws, including provisions that are in force and applicable to us.

5Students under 18

JHA Classes serves school-age learners, including students under 18. Where applicable law requires verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, we will seek it before processing a child’s personal data. Parents or guardians may contact us to ask about a child’s account, request correction or deletion where legally available, or raise a privacy concern. Please do not submit another person’s personal information unless you are authorised to do so.

6When we share information

We do not sell students’ personal information. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate the Services, such as hosting, analytics, customer-support, messaging and payment providers. They may use the information only to perform services for us and subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our rights, or in connection with a business reorganisation, provided applicable legal requirements are followed.

7Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain academic records, resolve disputes, prevent misuse and meet legal or accounting obligations. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8Your choices and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, updating of or deletion of personal information, ask questions about its use, or withdraw consent where relevant. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or legitimate recordkeeping purposes. You can also contact us to stop non-essential promotional communications; essential service messages may still be sent.

9Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to keep pages working, remember preferences, understand website usage and improve performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect some website functions.

10Third-party services and links

The Services may link to third-party websites, apps or payment pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Please review those policies before sharing information with them.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our Services, practices or legal obligations change. The updated version will be published on our website or app with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you have been given notice of the revised policy; where fresh consent is legally required, we will seek it.
